In this role as an Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of software engineers, located in Prague, Czech Republic. You will lead the team in the creation of our product and will need to partner with other cross functional teams such as other engineering teams, UX, Product Management, QA and technical writers. You will also provide technical direction, mentoring and coaching to engineers on your team to achieve successful project outcomes.
Lead back-end and front-end teams of engineers, located in Prague, Czech Republic
Focus on driving and shaping the direction in enabling our product engineers to deliver high-quality software to our customers
Lead teams of capable engineers to build and maintain services, websites, or public APIs of our cloud product Pure1
Provide technical direction, mentoring to engineers on your team, and others to achieve successful project outcomes
3+ years of technical management experience while staying hands-on
5+ years of hands-on software development experience, preferably in cloud services, back-end, and ideally also front-end
Experience in building and managing a team with senior engineers
Proven expertise in managing projects throughout the entire SDLC, delivering products to market on schedule, and ensuring feedback loops from customers into the development
Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to lead and influence multiple stakeholders across cross-functional teams
Strong customer focus
Solid knowledge of end-to-end quality and security best practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Patience, energy, and calmness under pressure
Understanding of the dynamics of global R&D and deep knowledge of local culture while at the same time having the ability to adapt to Pure values and leadership attributes
As this is an office-centric role, you are expected to be present in the office for 4 days a week. As outlined in Pure's Hybrid Work Policy, there will be variations over periods of time, depending on business need.
