Position Overview

We are seeking an Experienced Senior Tax Analyst, reporting to the Senior Manager, Domestic and Global Tax Provision.  This position is an integral component of the U.S. Domestic tax team and supports federal, states and local income tax filings, the quarterly and year-end income tax provision, other business and annual report filings, and general operations related to ad hoc tax projects.  This position will also assist in all types of tax notices and audits.

Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of US income tax compliance through working with external preparers, preparing workpapers, initial review of the income tax returns
  • Assist with the preparation and review of quarterly Federal and state estimated and extension calculations and payments
  • Strong experience with preparation and submission of Form 1120 
  • Ensure accuracy and timely filing of tax returns and proper payment of applicable fees and tax payments in all jurisdictions
  • Assist with the preparation of the quarterly and year-end global tax provision
  • Support Research and Development Tax Credits Study
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with key SOX controls related to US income tax
  • Participate in developing and implementing procedures to improve the tax function
  • Assist with ad hoc tax projects as required or as needed
  • Support with responses to tax notices and tax audits
  • Coordinate projects with internal stakeholders and external service providers

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent; Chartered Accountant or Master’s degree in Taxation preferred but not required
  • 4+ years of public accounting or private corporate tax experience, experience with multinational publicly traded companies a plus
  • ASC 740 knowledge, with experience in preparing and reviewing corporate income tax returns, provisions, and reporting disclosures for forms 10-Q and 10-K.
  • Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment, prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as function with independent responsibilities
  • Ability to research, analyze, and understand complex issues

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
